Nick Schuerman

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Schuerman holds a BA in K-8 Elementary Education and an MA in School Leadership and Administration. He has spent nine years teaching in district settings and has established himself as a highly successful “turnaround principal” in both charter and district schools. Mr. Schuerman is the founder of Victory Collegiate Academy, a K-8 public charter school that provides a whole-child education to underserved students in the Maryvale community.

After founding Victory Collegiate Academy, he also established five Victory Autism Academies and Escuela de Victoria (school of Victory), the only school in this region of Mexico dedicated to serving children with special needs. Additionally, he launched Victory Futures Academy, a micro high school designed for eighth graders to continue their educational journey beyond middle school.

Driven by a deep passion for special education, Mr. Schuerman has advocated for students with special needs throughout his career, culminating in his establishment of the district’s only autism program within his school in one of his early years of being a principal.  Visiting autism classrooms became the highlight of his daily routine.

His motivation to create an autism and special needs school stems from his own experience as the father of Conner, his high-functioning son on the autism spectrum. “While some districts and charters do their best to support students on the spectrum, many ASD students still need more tailored resources,” Mr. Schuerman explains.

Recently, the network has rebranded to Victory Schools, with a mission to serve vulnerable and underserved populations, a commitment shared by all schools in the network. Mr. Schuerman’s extensive educational background, along with his personal and professional experiences, make any of the Victory Schools a compelling and dynamic choice for families seeking specialized education for children.
