Star PathWay
The Star Pathway is designed for students who benefit from a highly structured, supportive learning
environment with a strong emphasis on communication, foundational academics, life skills, and self-regulation.
Students thrive with predictable routines, visual support, and close adult guidance. Instruction is individualized, hands-on, and delivered in small groups or one-to-one settings to ensure each learner receives the support they need to be successful. Learning in the Star Pathway prioritizes engagement, consistency, and individualized progress. Instruction is intentionally structured to meet students where they are and help them build confidence, independence, and foundational skills.

how learning works
Instruction in English Language Arts and Math is delivered through short, purposeful learning rotations
that support engagement, skill development, and independence.
Students participate in a
combination of:
- Teacher-led instruction
- Independent skill practice
- Sensory-based learning and regulation
- Technology-supported academic reinforcement
- Small group rotations
Social-Emotional
Developing social-emotional skills a cornerstone of our program, especially for students in our Star Pathway. We use Zones of
Regulation curriculum to help students develop self-awareness and self-
regulation skills needed to be successful in school, at home, and in the community.
We use positive behavior techniques, token economy systems, first/then boards, and Lion Cash to help shape behaviors in our classes.
