Voyager PathWay
The Voyager Pathway is designed for students who are ready to engage in advanced, specialized, or postsecondary coursework while continuing to benefit from the structure, support, and community of Victory Autism Academy.
This pathway serves students who are dually enrolled, attending Victory Autism Academy while also participating in academic, college, career, or specialized programs through a partner school or organization. Voyager students demonstrate strong independence, academic readiness, and self-management skills, while still benefiting from intentional support and oversight.
Students thrive with predictable routines, visual support, and close adult guidance. Instruction is individualized, hands-on, and delivered in small groups or one-to-one settings to ensure each learner receives the support they need to be successful. Learning in the Star Pathway prioritizes engagement, consistency, and individualized progress. Instruction is intentionally structured to meet students where they are and help them build confidence, independence, and foundational skills.
Dual Enrollment with Structured Support
The Voyager Pathway builds upon the Trailblazer model and extends learning beyond the VAA campus. Students participate in outside coursework while remaining connected to Victory Autism Academy for structure, accountability, and support.
This model allows students to:
- Access rigorous academic, college, or career-focused opportunities
- Maintain consistent routines and expectations
- Receive guidance, check-ins, and academic support
- Balance increased independence with ongoing structure
Victory Autism Academy works collaboratively with students and families to ensure that dual enrollment experiences are aligned with each student’s goals, readiness, and long-term plans.
Academic & Skill Development Focus
While enrolled in external coursework, Voyager students continue to build critical skills that support long-term success, including:
- Executive functioning and time management
- Self-advocacy and communication
- Organizational and study skills
- Problem-solving and responsibility
- Functional application of academic learning
Support is designed to help students manage expectations across learning environments while maintaining progress and confidence.
Transition & Future Readiness
The Voyager Pathway emphasizes preparation for life beyond Victory Autism Academy. Instructional support and guidance focus on helping students navigate increasing independence while planning for postsecondary education, employment, or other long-term goals.
Students are supported in:
- Managing multiple schedules and responsibilities
- Meeting academic and behavioral expectations across settings
- Developing independence and accountability
